“MALASTRANA QUARTET†is a project founded on the initiative of the pianist Stefano Raffaelli. The quartet develops original compositions of the same Raffaelli and Michael Rosen, asymmetrical compositions often difficult cataloged by genre, and that stimulate the four musicians to continue searching for pathos and contemporary sound.
At the saxophones Alan Michael Rosen, energetic and lyrical american musician, who has solo collaborations with numerous musicians of international caliber, such as Jim Hall, Peter Erskine, Enrico Rava, Franco D'Andrea, Mike Stern, and Kenny Wheelerr.
At the piano and electronic environments Stefano Raffaelli, musician, composer and arranger always curious and attentive to new expressive possibilities related to technological development in the contemporary music.
On drums the fine drumming of John Arnold, a newyorker musician, eclectic and very creative.
Complete the quartet bassist Flavio Zanon, stable and important reference in various national jazz and pop projects!
